During the opening session of the 11th International Symposium on Public Management, organized on 2 June 2022 in Rabat, in the presence of an international network of almost 150 researchers and practitioners in public management from various countries (Morocco, France, Canada, Switzerland, Cameroon, Senegal). ..), President of Muhammad V University in Rabat (UM5), Pr. Mohammed RHACHI emphasized that “Morocco, under the prudent behavior of His Majesty King Mohamed IV, passed in conditions for changing and modernizing the management style of the public ecosystem “.

Mr Rhachi added that “this is happening through several reform and rehabilitation projects aimed at a modern, resilient and evolving management style, able to overcome development challenges and enable citizens to exercise their rights and fulfill their obligations with dignity and decency. .

Mr Rhachi also said that the number selected for this issue under the heading “Visions and values ​​of public management in the context of the crisis” was of great importance in the sense that the success of any development action was, especially depending on the performance of public activity.

On this occasion, Mr Omar Hniche, President of the Interdisciplinary Center for Performance and Competitiveness Research (CIRPEC), said that “this 11th year, for the first time outside France, added that” the international status and scientific excellence of Muhammad V University (UM5), as well as its commitment to the development and modernization of public events.

Mr Hniche also explained that CIRPEC is a center related to UM5 and is based in FSJES-Souissi. It brings together more than 100 permanent research teachers and several national and international experts and associate researchers. It brings together three research structures covering 3 main disciplinary areas related to performance and competitiveness.

This 11th year, organized by Mohamed V University in Rabat (UM5) through its Interdisciplinary Center for Performance and Competitiveness Research (CIRPEC), in partnership with the International Association for Public Management Research (AIRMAP) and the Management Research Laboratory in Paris Saclay University (LAREQUOI), June 2 and 3, 2022 at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Social Sciences – Souissi.

On the program of this symposium, scientific works on current topics of public management and organization of public events were prepared. Two round tables on “Morocco’s new model of development as a new paradigm of public action” and on “the specifics and development of African public administration in the context of crises”.

The symposium also awarded the Prizes for the best diploma thesis in public management for 2021, as well as the Prizes for the best communication of a “young researcher” and the best communication in health and social management.
